A PDF SEWING PATTERN for the Primrose © Purse, a fully lined crossbody bag 9 1/2″ wide x 9″ tall x 4″ deep (24 cm w x 23 cm t x 10 cm d) with two lined zipper pouches on the front and back and one magnetic snap pouch in the middle with a stylish adjustable crossbody strap! Inside there are options for slip pockets, card slot pockets and/or zipper pockets. This is an adventurous beginner/intermediate sewing pattern. 

I sew my Primrose Purses on my Janome HD3000 and my Janome MC8200QCP, both domestic machines, not industrials. I try to make products that don’t need an industrial machine. Test your machine with scraps to see if it can sew through the materials you are using.

Pattern Instructions include both inches and cm. There are 48 pages of detailed instructions with 160 large colour photos to help you construct your Primrose Purse, including:

• three pouches, two with zippers and one with a magnetic snap
• choice of inside slip pockets, card slot pockets, and/or a zipper pockets

Material Requirements:

• Outer layer: Cork, vinyl, heavyweight fabric, or canvas - 1/2 yard (0.5 metre)
• Middle section: Medium weight fabric or canvas - 1/2 yard (0.5 metre)
• Lining: Lightweight canvas or quilting cotton - 1 yard (1 metre)
• Lightweight Interfacing: Pellon Shapeflex SF101, Decovil Light, EB fuse Light - 2 yards (2 metres) 
• Heavyweight Interfacing: Pellon Peltex, Decovil Heavy, EB fuse Heavy - 1/4 yard (.25 metres) 
• Foam: By Annie Soft & Stable or Pellon Fusible Fleece - 1/2 yard (0.5 metres)

Hardware Requirements:

• #5 Zipper tape, two 12” (30.4 cm) lengths, with two Zipper pulls
• #5 Zipper tape, one or two 9” (22.8 cm) lengths, with one or two Zipper pulls
• One 3/4” (1.9 cm) magnetic snap
• Two 1” (2.5 cm) swivel hooks
• One 1” (2.5 cm) slider
• Two 1” (2.5 cm) D-rings
• Two 1” (2.5 cm) rectangle rings or Double D-rings
• OPTIONAL: Four Strap Anchors and Four Strap Ends for Handles; Chicago screws or rivets: caps/posts 1/4” (6mm); Webbing: 1” wide x 80” (2.5 cm x 2 metres) NOTE: Don’t cut webbing until you have decided on your options.
